Paléo unveiled the last names for its 45th edition on Tuesday, scheduled for July 19-24 in Nyon. About fifty groups and artists are added to the cast, starting with the French singer M, alias Matthieu Chedid.
M, who had already performed on the plain of Asse in 2019, will present a brand new show, accompanied by Gail Ann Dorsey, former bassist for David Bowie, indicate the organizers of the Nyon festival. The French rock band La Femme, the DJ Folamour or the Nigerian saxophonist and singer Seun Kuti are also among the newcomers to this 2022 line-up.
Several local artists are also joining the line-up for this 2022 edition, such as Lausanne rapper Arma Jackson and Geneva singer Flèche Love. Appenzeller Marius Bear, who has just been selected to represent Switzerland at the next Eurovision Song Contest, will also be there.
As tradition dictates, classical music will also be honored on Sunday with the Orchester des Hautes Ecoles de Musique de Suisse Romande, conducted by Baldur Brönnimann.
Last tickets on sale from March 23
Paléo had already announced the bulk of its programming at the end of November with, as main headliners, Sting, KISS, Orelsan, Stromae, Angèle or even Francis Cabrel.
The Nyon festival has already sold in December a first quota of 170,000 tickets out of the 200,000 planned in total. The remaining tickets will go on sale from March 23, at a rate of 2,000 tickets per day.
