The Badminton World Federation confirmed today that several players have withdrawn from the 2022 Yonex Swiss Open due to infection with the new crown virus. Multiple players from multiple associations tested positive before and after arrival and were forced to withdraw from the tournament.
The Chinese Badminton Association reported some positive test results, as well as player injuries. Out of consideration for the health of all participating players, the Chinese team decided to withdraw from the 2022 Yonex Swiss Open.
