The Valais Christian Democrats are following the trend. This Thursday evening, the members of the PDC of Valais Romand decided to change the name of their party, as did the national party and 24 of the 28 regional sections before them. Finished the reference to religion and Christianity, place to an identification that wants to be clear on the political spectrum. The Center du Valais Romand was thus born. A new name accepted by a large majority of more than 92% of the votes. “The moment may not be historic, but it will be a milestone in our party,” says Joachim Rausis, who delivers to the Time his first words as president of the Center du Valais Romand.
