Al-Marsad newspaper: The White House announced today, Friday, that US President Joe Biden welcomed the announcement of a two-month armistice in Yemen.
“I am indebted to the leadership role of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman for the success of the truce before the month of Ramadan,” Biden said.
He added, “It is time to reach political settlements to achieve lasting peace in Yemen,” stressing the need to adhere to the truce and end the war in the country.
He continued, “I thank the Yemeni government for the trust it placed in the UN mediation to reach the armistice.”
