Rayan victim of the headscarf game in his school in Schaerbeek: “The doctor said that the outcome could have been dramatic”

An investigation has been opened following the strangulation of a 7-year-old child in the playground.

This Monday, Rayan, 7, was the victim of a strangulation attack committed by two other students during recess in a school in Schaerbeek, in the Brussels Region. A complaint has been filed and the Brussels public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation.

It was noon when two children aged 7 and 9 attacked a third by playing “the game of the scarf”, but using a rope. Rayan then intervened to tell them to stop, which did not please the first two. They then made him suffer the same fate.
