Is CS boss Thomas Gottstein falling now?
Constant new losses, legal cases without end and an internal competitor – Bloomberg is already reporting his departure. What still supports Gottstein is a scandal and the lack of alternatives.

When Thomas Gottstein took over the top position at Credit Suisse two years ago, sympathy flew to him. After five years, with the unapproachable Tidjane Thiam at the helm, a down-to-earth Swiss was finally back at the helm. The fact that, in addition to playing golf, he also found time for the “Donnschtig-Jass” (Donnschtig-Jass) almost made him a banker of hearts. But that is long gone, and not only is the share price of CS in free fall, but also Gottstein’s reputation inside and outside his bank.
