The Indian authorities announced that 26 people had been infected with the new tomato influenza virus, which is witnessing a wide spread among children in some Indian states, after it appeared in early May in the eastern city of Kerala.
Indian medical sources confirmed that there is no relationship between the new disease and corona, despite the similarity in some symptoms, which include the appearance of tomato-like blisters on the skin of children under the age of 5 years.
It also includes symptoms of tomato flu; “Fever, skin irritation, dehydration, rash, widespread pain and swelling of the joints, nausea, cramping, sneezing, and runny nose”, as the disease is a rapidly spreading infectious disease.
