It was found that a number of banks did not comply with the implementation of the circular of the Banque du Liban regarding the period of opening funds to citizens.
On Friday, the Central Bank was clear in its circular when it asked banks to receive customers until 6 pm, which means that they must continue to work until that time.
In practice, it was found that BLOM Bank in Sidon (Elia intersection branch), closed its doors to citizens in a crude manner at 5 pm instead of 6, while the Credit Libanais Bank in Broumana closed its doors an hour before the scheduled time.
