Lotto Max: the $70 million jackpot won in Quebec

The $70 million jackpot, offered during the Lotto Max draw on Tuesday evening, was won thanks to a selection sold in Quebec.

Loto-Québec said in a press release on Wednesday that the winning ticket had been purchased in Montérégie.
The numbers of the winning ticket, whose owner(s) is or are now multimillionaire(s), are 06-13-17-20-28-36-44, complementary 31.

Besides the jackpot, only two “maxmillions” worth $1 million out of the 46 put into play were won in the same draw. However, the place of purchase of these tickets has not been specified.
A $43 million jackpot will be up for grabs in the next Lotto Max draw on Friday night, the state-owned corporation said.

With a bi-weekly draw, Lotto Max, created in 2009, is a pan-Canadian lottery game supervised by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation. When purchasing a $5 ticket, players select seven numbers out of a total of 50.

Starting with a $10 million jackpot, the prize pool grows with each unsuccessful draw. Once the jackpot reaches at least $50 million, “maxmillions”, which are prizes of $1 million, can also be won by participants.

Since the launch of this lottery, more than $3.2 billion has been won by Quebecers, and 39 jackpots have been won in the province.

The other two biggest recent jackpots won in Quebec are in the amount of $50 million and were won on November 12, 2021 and December 22, 2020.
