The Algerian national team recently recorded the arrival of seven new international players. Other elements should also join the workforce.
The reconstruction of a young and competitive national team continues. After Anthony Mandréa, Akim Zedadka, Yanis Hamache, Abdelkaher Kadri, Billel Brahimi, Billal Omrani and Riyad Benayad, new faces will land in Algeria next September.
Djamel Belmadi confirmed this at the microphone of FAFTV. “There were reflections, things that are done over time. Decision-making that is done a little later. We are not here to point the finger at anyone, but rather to ensure that this national team is as strong as possible day following day. […] We work every day and today we are reaping the rewards. The discussions are a little more precise and tend towards positive decisions. Players will join us eventually, perhaps in September, or in March. There is a real evolution in the decision to join us”, he confided.
If the coach was careful not to name names, two players have already been announced. According to several media sources, it would be Yacine Adli, future AC Milan midfielder and Rayan Aït Nouri, the Wolverhampton side. Adli had however made the youth teams of the France team (U16, U17, U18, U19 and U20) and Aït Nouri had 5 selections with the Espoirs de l’EDF.
