Al-Marsad newspaper: Family medicine consultant, Dr. Ziyad Al-Rayes, said that taking vitamins does not protect against diseases.
Al-Rayes explained, during his hosting of the 120 program on the news channel, that studies confirmed whether taking vitamins is unhealthy, and taking them is useless, and that they do not protect against diseases, as some believe.
He pointed out that some have wrong beliefs about vitamins, as they take them to compensate for the lack of food.
Al-Rais advised to eat a healthy, moderate diet that contains the necessary vitamins instead of taking them as medicines.
