The New York Knicks have officially fired veteran center Taj Gibson, the New York franchise reported through its communication department.
Gibson, 37, becomes an unrestricted free agent where he has already aroused the interest of several teams, as the media pointed out CUT. His dismissal comes preceded by the renewals of Mitchell Robinson (4 years and 60 million) and the passage from ‘dual contract’ to ‘standard contract’ of the young Jericho Sims, who will sign for three additional courses.
In three official seasons with the Knicks, he has played 159 official games with averages of 5.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 18.3 minutes per day.
