Al-Marsad newspaper: Family doctor Saud Al-Shehri explained the importance of eating meat and whether it is suitable for health or not.
And he said, during a video clip, which he posted on his Twitter account: “Every 100 grams of meat contains 60% water, as it irrigates the body, and it also contains 10% fat, and some of it is very useful.
He continued, “Some experts have said that the natural fats found in meat are not the same as the bad artificial trans fats.”
And he added, meat contains a complete set of nine amino acids, which enter the body from the head to the feet and are important for building the body.
And he added, meat is an important source of selenium, which is an anti-cancer substance. It is also a great source of zinc, which is important for immunity, stomach acid production and wound healing.
He added, the meat also contains phosphorous to treat growth problems and collagen to build body tissues, skin and bones.
He advised not to overeat meat, noting that during the 7 days a person should only eat half a kilo.
