Covid: the number of active cases doubles in one week

Last week, the health authorities warned of a new emerging wave of fenua caused by the sub-variants of Omicron, which have already become the majority in Europe. And the contaminations, in fact, are multiplying: this Monday, the Covid platform has 329 active cases, once morest 177 a week ago (and nearly 9,000 at the peak of the Delta wave in August 2021). The incidence has doubled in this time, and a first patient was admitted to the CHPF for serious symptoms related to the virus this weekend.

No reason to panic, the authorities pointed out a few days ago, but wearing a mask and washing hands are more than ever recommended, as are tests and isolation in the event of suspicious symptoms. Another weapon to slow the epidemic recovery: keep an up-to-date vaccination schedule. The message seems to be getting through: 804 people attended the presidential vaccinodrome this Saturday, including 485 for a 4e dose. The Covid platform confirms that the vaccinodrome under the marquee of the presidency will be open once more on Saturday July 16 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
