The file demarcation of the border .. Hochstein to Tel Aviv and Lebanon is waiting!

With regard to the file of demarcating the maritime borders and Lebanon awaiting the Israeli response to its recent proposals that the American mediator Amos Hochstein brought to Tel Aviv, this mediator is scheduled to arrive this week in the Israeli entity “to meet with the Israeli Energy Minister, Karen Al-Harr, and members of the negotiating team.”

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, Makan, reported that “official French authorities have transmitted messages to Lebanon in recent days that negotiations on demarcating the maritime borders with Israel are in Beirut’s interest, and that provocative actions such as launching marches may affect the dialogue process.”

According to Makan, senior sources in the Israeli entity expressed their “optimism” about achieving progress in the negotiations.

The commission pointed out that “Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, confirmed in a letter he sent to the UN Security Council that the launching of rallies by Hezbollah is a clear attempt to threaten Israel’s security,” considering that this is a “provocation that could lead to an escalation.” The situation in the region must be strongly condemned by the international community.”

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz confirmed that “the actions of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah constitute a fertile ground for terrorism in Lebanon,” noting that “the response will be catastrophic,” according to Al-Arabiya channel.

And the Israeli website 0404, in the evening, quoted Erdan as saying that “his government demanded the Security Council to intervene after Hezbollah launched drones over the Karish natural gas platform last week.”

The Israeli website stated that “Israel has claimed that Hezbollah’s launch of drones towards the Karish gas field is a provocation and a flagrant violation of Security Council resolutions, and that Tel Aviv will take all measures to protect its energy infrastructure.”
