The Red Sox are positioned to acquire outfielder Tommy Pham from the Reds for a player to be named later, a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand. The teams have not confirmed the news.
Pham, 34, is hitting .238/.320/.374 with 11 home runs and 39 RBIs in 91 games. The nine-year veteran signed a one-year, $7.5 million deal with Cincinnati in March. His contract also has a mutual option for 2023 and a $500,000 bonus if he is traded.
