WhatsApp: why it is necessary to clear the cache
Among the benefits of clearing the cache, it can be said that it helps to free up space on the device that tends to weigh more than 1 GB.
The cache also prevents the app from encountering errors, which usually lead the user to force close the app, and even deletes some unnecessary files that are only used to update or install WhatsApp.
To clear the WhatsApp cache on Android, a series of simple steps must be followed:
- Go to Settings menu
- Go to the Applications tab and search for WhatsApp.
- Go to the Storage option and click the Clear Cache button.
- The cache has already been cleared successfully
The same happens for devices whose operating system is iOS:
- Login to WhatsApp
- Go to Settings and then to the Data and storage option.
- Go to Storage Usage. There will be a list of conversations with the size of each one.
- If each chat is pressed individually, the user will be able to choose which file accesses they want to delete.
- The information will not be removed from the app, so the user can download it again later.
