Balenciaga launches $2,200 “trash bag”

Fashion giant Balenciaga has been offering its customers since the beginning of August to buy the most expensive “garbage bag” in the world.

Indeed, the collection of the French company now includes the “Trash Pouch”, a handbag in the shape of a garbage bag.

This rather original creation is nevertheless much more expensive than a simple garbage bag; it sells for 1700 euros, or regarding 2235 Canadian dollars.

Asked by the Women’s Wear Daily, Balenciaga’s stylist and creative director, Demna Gvasalia, said: “I mightn’t miss this opportunity to create the most expensive trash bag in the world, because who doesn’t love a fashion scandal?”
