Only 11.6% of houses, on the other hand, were acquired by this age group in the Brussels Region, and 23.4% of apartments. According to data collected by Fednot, young buyers made 31.4% of house purchases and 25.7% of apartment purchases throughout Belgium in the first half of the year.
Depending on the region, the figures are higher in Flanders (33.7% of houses were sold to 18-30 year olds and 27.5% of apartments), ahead of Wallonia (28% of house acquisitions and 20.3 % apartments).
