Access to the beach at Parc-nature du Cap–Saint-Jacques 1 was closed by the Ministry of the Environment and the City of Montreal due to high bacteriological contamination.
The bathing waters thus do not comply with the standards imposed for bacteriological quality, according to the analysis of samples taken on August 10.
“Consequently, the population must refrain from frequenting it for bathing purposes until a notice to the contrary has been issued by the ministry”, it was specified in a press release.
Other beaches in the Environnement-Plage program are still accessible.
