Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist who was assigned to kill BJP leader Nupur Sharma. Mohammad Nadeem from Kunda Kala village in Saharanpur, UP has been arrested. The anti-terrorism squad of the UP Police said that the 25-year-old man was in direct contact with the Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist.
Police informed that Mohammad Nadeem was ready to go to Pakistan for weapons training and his phone records and messages were found. Nupur’s references to the Prophet caused protests and official complaints, including in the Gulf countries. Following this, Nupur Sharma was suspended from the post of BJP spokesperson.
