The solar winds coming from our star, particularly intense lately, have caused a magnificent polar aurora visible from space. American astronaut Bob Hines, in the front row aboard the International Space Station (ISS), immortalized this magical spectacle on August 17, from the large bay window of the Cupola observatory. Incredible shots that he then shared from his Twitter account. “An absolutely SPECTACULAR aurora today!!! Thank you for the recent solar activity which allowed these magnificent views”he tweeted, in comment.
