Within the framework of joint cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs and the Egyptian Association for Travel Insurance Abroad, the combined ministry informed an Egyptian family of an accident, following marble fell in the courtyard of the Great Mosque of Mecca due to storms and rain, to follow up on the details of the incident and determine the extent of the injuries sustained by the Egyptian family.
Ambassador Suha Gendy thanked the Minister of Immigration, Mohamed Zahran, Executive Director of the Egyptian Association for Travel Insurance, for his quick response to the request of the Ministry of Immigration to follow up on the incident, and his immediate move to find out all the details of the incident to take the necessary measures, in the context of providing health care to the Egyptian family, and the group bears all costs treatment.
Mohamed Zahran, Executive Director of the Egyptian Association for Insurance of Travel Abroad, said that the group immediately contacted the medical network of the travel aid company contracting with the group, to find out the extent of the Egyptian family’s injuries resulting from the accident, which reported that the child “Ritag”, born in 2012, had a broken nose, while The mother, Huda, born in 1984, had a 100% fracture in the left hand and a minor fracture in the right hand, while the girl, Huda, born in 2014, suffered 3 skull fractures and brain hemorrhage.
Zahran added that the mother and child, Huda, are in Al-Noor Hospital in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and the child “Ritaj” will be directed to a hospital affiliated with the medical network of the aid company to take the necessary measures to complete the treatment for her case, and the cases of the mother and child are being followed up, according to what was stated in the Al-Majma’a report on the incident. He stressed that the Majmaah will bear the costs of treating the injured, as the injured have travel insurance on their passports, one of the insurance programs for Egyptians abroad, in the interest of the Egyptian state to protect its children abroad and take care of them anywhere in the world.
Ambassador Suha Gendy, Minister of Immigration, calls on all Egyptians abroad to participate and benefit from the insurance programs offered by the Egyptian state, which mainly aim to provide protection for our children abroad, including passport insurance as well as the insurance policy for Egyptians working abroad, in order to ensure the safety of every Egyptian outside the country.
Egyptians abroad can subscribe to the “Insurance Document for the Children of Egypt Abroad”, which is an insurance service for Egyptians working and residing abroad that covers costs in the event of death abroad and the safe return of the body to the homeland, through the following methods:
Work permit offices affiliated to the Ministry of Interior, which are located in all governorates of the Republic and the main airports.
