Bus is crushed by two heavy trucks: 16 dead leaves the serious accident | World

At least 16 people, 14 of them Kyrgyz citizens, were killed when a truck collided with a minibus in Russia’s Ulyanovsk region, some 650 kilometers east of Kyrgyzstan.

Police sources cited by the Interfax agency indicated that the accident occurred on a section of a road under repair when a truck collided from behind the minibus, which was waiting its turn to go through the only lane enabled for circulation.

As a result of the impact, the minibus crashed into a truck that was ahead and was trapped between the two heavy vehicles.

Three other Kyrgyz people traveling in the minibus were injured.

According to the police, the reasons why the driver of the truck that hit the passenger car were not able to brake are unknown.

The president of Kyrgyzstan, Sadir Zhaparov, ordered to send a plane to repatriate the remains of the victims of the accident, the president’s press office reported.
