Sony ‘Xperia 5 IV’ passed US FCC certification.. Wireless charging support

A device believed to be Sony’s new ‘Xperia 5 IV’ has passed the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification.

According to the certification document, the size of the ‘Xperia 5 IV’ is 155.74mm x 67.1mm, and the diagonal size of the screen is 153.5mm, which is considered to be 6.04 inches. It is slightly smaller than the Xperia 5 III 6.1-inch panel.

In addition, ‘Xperia 5 IV’ provides a USB-C connector for charging and data transfer and a 3.5mm headphone jack, and NFC (Near Field Communication) and wireless charging are also confirmed. This is the first time that the Xperia 5 series supports wireless charging.

In addition, ‘Xperia 5 IV’ supports Wi-Fi 6 connection and RFID smart card widely used in Japan. According to previous reports, the ‘Xperia 5 IV’ will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ 1st generation chipset and will be equipped with a triple camera.
