Yields rose during Thursday’s trading, with the Federal Reserve heading towards continuing to raise interest rates to counter high inflation.

Cleveland Federal Reserve President Loretta Meester stressed during remarks prepared for an event organized by the Dayton Chamber of Commerce that the central bank needs to raise interest rates above 4% by early next year.

The two-year treasury bond yield reached 3.487%, at exactly 11:33 am Cairo time, following recording earlier 3.52%, the highest level since November 2007.

The 10-year bond yield was 3.189%, and the 30-year bond yield rose to 3.301%.
