Machado was the winner of Miss Venezuela in 1995. Then she was awarded as the World Queen of Coffee in 1996 and later she was crowned Miss Universe in 1996, thus becoming the fourth Venezuelan to obtain the important beauty title.

The former Miss Universe suffers from fibromyalgia: a chronic condition that causes pain throughout the body, as well as fatigue.

The “I Know Everything” program posted the video on its official Instagram account, referring to the difficult times Machado is going through because of her severe pain, which often does not allow her to be calm or happy.

“I feel bad because the people around me don’t understand what it’s like to have fibromyalgia. I don’t like people to think I’m rude or too serious. But that is what happens to me when the pain of the disease is activated”, Alicia Machado expresses, very sad, in the clip.

What is fibromyalgia?
