“The work done is another important step in the development of a reliable transcontinental automobile route connecting the west and east of our country,” the head of state added and recalled that, according to plans, the construction of the Moscow-Kazan-Yekaterinburg highway should be completed by the end of 2024. As a result, taking into account the already operating Neva highway, the travel time from St. Petersburg to Yekaterinburg will be almost halved – from 31 to 17.5 hours.
