Vietnam’s Ministry of Health revealed that in the past 24 hours 2,013 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported, bringing Vietnam’s total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 to 11,441,626, the highest number among Southeast Asian countries (ASEAN).
The number of deaths from the COVID-19 virus stood at 43,130.
Vietnam is facing an epidemic of Omicron strains BA.4, BA.5, BA.2.75 and BA.2.12.1 as the government speeds up the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
