Al-Marsad newspaper – SPA: The Ministry of Commerce has reviled a violating citizen who used his account in the “Snapchat” application to sell and market fake and counterfeit products (women’s shoes and bags), following a final court ruling was issued convicting him of violating the anti-commercial fraud system and the trademark system.

The tools used in counterfeiting and counterfeiting registered trademarks were seized, and the counterfeit goods were seized following an ambush was carried out on the violator’s headquarters at the time, in cooperation and coordination with the joint security campaigns in the Riyadh region and the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property.

The Ministry published the ruling issued by the Court of Appeal in Riyadh, which includes imposing a fine of 50,000 riyals, confiscating tools and products used in the crime, and defaming the publication of the ruling in a newspaper at the expense of the violator.

The Ministry of Commerce had caught the citizen marketing fake and counterfeit women’s products through his account on “Snapchat” and delivering them to buyers via luxury cars.
