US President Joe Biden has arrived in the British capital, London, to attend the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
The state funeral, the first since the death of Winston Churchill in 1965, will be held on Monday at Westminster Abbey at 10:00 GMT, with the participation of two thousand guests, including hundreds of leaders from all over the world.
The White House had stated that Biden would pay a first tribute to the late Queen on Sunday, before participating in the evening at a reception organized by King Charles III.
On Wednesday, Biden spoke by phone with King Charles III, stressing his “desire to continue the close relationship” with the new monarch.
