Opposition leader Carlos Vecchio called for better treatment for migrants arriving in the United States.
“Any undignified treatment of Venezuelan migrants is unacceptable, wherever it comes from,” said Vecchio, who condemned the fact that some politicians play with suffering.
He recalled that they are innocent victims of the Maduro government, so they deserve and need solidarity.
“Today we welcome a group of nationals who arrived in Washington DC near the residence of Vice President Harris,” he said.
At the same time, he called for solidarity with some factors of the Democratic and Republican parties, who are not aligned with the commitment of the organizations of which they are a part.
“The only way to prevent more Venezuelans from coming here is by achieving a political transition in Venezuela. Let’s not forget the cause of the problem,” he asserted.
“Each family comes here with a story and they don’t even know where they are. What I ask for is a dignified treatment, they are refugees, they are not here because they want to, ”she added.
He called for everyone to build a migrant aid program that treats them with dignity.
