71 dead as refugee boat sinks off Syrian coast 20 survivors are being treated at a hospital in Tartus city. The accident happened on Thursday.

The victims were Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian nationals. It is believed that 120 people, including women and children, were on board. Rescue operation is going on. The cause of the accident is unclear.
