Colombian star Shakira revealed that she is going through one of the “most difficult” and saddest moments of her life, following her separation from her lover Gerard Pique, Barcelona player.
“He wanted to play football and win titles,” Shakira said in an interview with the Spanish magazine “El”, in her first comment on her relationship with Pique, with whom she had two children.
She added, “He must terminate his contract with Barcelona and move to the United States with me, where my career is, or I must continue where he works.”
She indicated that one of them would have had to sacrifice, adding: “That is why the sacrifice and effort were made. I put my career second and moved to Spain to support him to play football and win trophies. It was an act of love.”
