Shohei Otani’s “Show time!”

284-time Hall of Fame right-hander Jenkins: “Ohtani’s Showtime”

Hall of Fame legends are reacting to the success of Angels pitcher Shohei Ohtani in pitching and batting. MLB official Twitter introduces the home run ranking of pitchers who struck out 200. Ohtani, who has hit 34 home runs this season, is of course ranked first, but Ferguson Jenkins, who once won 284 wins with the Cubs and Rangers, reacted. “Ohtani Showtime!” he tweeted.

Mr. Jenkins marked 20 or more wins for six consecutive years from 1967. He won the most wins and Cy Young Award in 1971 with the Cubs, and in 1974 when he moved to the Rangers, he won the Comeback Award for the most wins twice. He hit six home runs in 1971. He is tied for fourth in the home run rankings of pitchers with 200 or more strikeouts since 1900, but he seems to be taking his hat off to Ohtani this season.

MLB Network female reporter Alana Rizzo also reacted to Ohtani’s 200K. Mr. Ben Verlander, an analyst at the American broadcasting station “FOX Sports”, responded to Twitter with “Another milestone for Ohtani!” A lot of attention has been focused on his 200 strikeouts of the two-way season.
