Tendering almost fixed: Several interested parties for building rights on Klagenfurt airport grounds

by Alexandra Hartman Editor-in-Chief

It’s on Friday 30. September. By then, the majority owner of the airport, Lilihill and Franz Peter Orasch, wanted to have withdrawn the controversial lease agreement and submit the contracts relating to the building rights he was striving for. With the goal that all parties involved then sign the ten points on which they had agreed in principle on August 31st. Because, as reported, the signatures of investment officer Martin Gruber (ÖVP) and the head of Carinthian investment management, Martin Payer, are still missing. Provincial Governor Peter Kaiser (SPÖ), Klagenfurt’s Mayor Christian Scheider (Team Carinthia) and Deputy Mayor Philipp Liesnig (SPÖ) had already signed in blank at the beginning of September immediately following the meeting with real estate developer Orasch.
