Financing granted by participating banks increased, year-on-year, by 26.7% to nearly 22.25 billion dirhams (MMDH) at the end of August 2022, according to Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM).

These financings relate in particular to real estate up to 18.44 billion dirhams, consumption (1.2 billion dirhams), equipment (2.34 billion dirhams) and cash (102 million dirhams), specifies BAM in a document on the August 2022 monetary statistics.

At the same time, the commitments of the participating banks amounted to nearly 7.92 billion dirhams with the banks, mainly in the form of refinancing through the product of “Wakala bil Istithmar” and demand deposits received from the parent banks. the same source.

Checking accounts and current accounts, meanwhile, rose by 30.9% to more than 6.11 billion dirhams, while investment deposits stood at 2.22 billion dirhams.
