Wall Street’s main indexes rose at the open on Monday, after recording sharp declines last week, but losses for Tesla limited the Nasdaq’s gains after the world’s most valuable electric car company failed to meet its quarterly delivery targets.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 129.74 points, or 0.45%, to open at 28,855.25 points.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index rose 24.16 points, or 0.67%, to 3609.78 points.
The Nasdaq Composite Index advanced 83.39 points, or 0.79%, to 10,659.01 points.
