The UN General Assembly has condemned Russia’s annexations in Ukraine by a large majority. At an emergency session, 143 UN member states voted in favor of and five once morest a resolution on Russia’s annexation of Ukraine’s Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions. 35 countries abstained, including China, India, South Africa and Pakistan. Ten countries did not take part in the vote. The decision is not binding under international law, but it shows Moscow’s clear international isolation.
