WASHINGTON, Oct 14 (Archyde.com) – U.S. household morale has improved more than expected since early October, preliminary results from the University of Michigan monthly survey showed on Friday.
Its confidence index rose to 59.8 from 58.6 in September, while economists and analysts polled by Archyde.com had expected an average figure of 59.0.
The component of consumers’ judgment of their current situation also increased more than expected, 65.3 once morest 59.7 the previous month and 59.9 for the Refinitiv consensus.
