Nigeria: President Benedict Oramah of Afreximbank elevated to the rank of Commander in the Order of Niger

President Benedict Oramah of African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has been elevated to the rank of Commander in the Order of the Lion by the President of Nigeria. The distinction presented by President Muhammadu Buhari on October 11, 2022 in Abuja is the second highest honor in the country awarded in general to persons who have rendered high service to the Nation. The authorities of Nigeria recognize Professor Oramah for his leadership in the institutional transformation of Afreximbank at the service of Africa. Afreximbank has acted as a catalyst for the AfCFTA, notably by granting $1 billion to the secretariat of the AfCFTA.
