Erika Pluhar: “Youth is not a question of age” – scene

On Friday Erika Pluhar will perform together with Adi Hirschal in the Theater am Spittelberg. The origin of their friendship is actually a sad one.

It’s almost 30 years since actress, writer and singer Erika Pluhar and audience favorite Adi Hirschal met, although they could have crossed paths much earlier: “As a young actor, he was even at the Burgtheater when I was there was the protagonist,” says Erika Pluhar in an interview with “today“, “You only see each other in this huge ensemble when you’re playing together. So we never met. We didn’t meet until many years later.”

“We really met for the first time on a sad occasion”

The two then met almost 30 years ago: “We really got to know each other for the first time on a sad occasion,” says Pluhar.today“, “My friend from drama school, Marisa Mell, who was very famous for a while, passed away in 1992. At her funeral, Adi and I met and sang ‘Marisa, Marisa, Marisa’ together.”

“It’s really very nice how we two gray heads are sitting next to each other on the bar stools on stage”

After that, the two met again and again and got along well until a friendship finally developed. And the two have also teamed up artistically: “The program ‘Together’ later came about. We play it again and again with great pleasure in different places,” says the grand dame.today“, “It’s really very nice how we two gray heads are sitting next to each other on the bar stools on the stage. I’m a tad older than him. Although the two of us are already quite all people, we develop a different form of youthfulness that evening, because for me youth is not a question of age.”

“He always claims I pushed him to write the book”

In the “Togetherness” program, Hirschal and Pluhar present their own texts, sing their songs individually and together, and are accompanied on the piano by Roland Guggenbichler. “He’s a great singer. As a child, he was also a choir boy,” says the 83-year-old. And Hirschal’s book “There’s something wrong” is somehow connected to Erika Pluhar: “He always claims I pushed him to write the book,” she laughs.

On Friday evening, the event “Together” by Eirka Pluhar, Adi Hirschal and Roland Guggenbichler will take place at 7 p.m. in the Theater am Spittelberg. There are still tickets.
