Mexico registered 6,165 cases and 51 deaths from COVID-19 in the last week

The Health Secretary reported on Tuesday that Mexico adds 7 million 125 thousand 98 cases and 330 thousand 495 deaths from COVID-19.

In the last 24 hours, the country registered 6,165 infections and 51 deaths from coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

The Ministry of Health detailed that the hospital occupancy of general beds for the care of COVID-19 stands at three percent, while for people in a critical situation who require a mechanical ventilator it is one percent.

The Technical Report on COVID-19 indicates that in epidemiological week 46, from November 13 to 20, a daily average of 497 infections and no deaths from the SARS-CoV-2 virus were recorded. However, in the Yucatan Peninsula an increase in cases is detected.

Omicron is the most prevalent variant of COVID-19 in the country and so far it has not been shown to cause an increase in severe disease.
