Kyle Lowry took care of the Wizards, the old fashioned way, victory for the Heat!

Miami got scared but eventually triumphed over the Wizards, getting revenge following last Friday’s overtime loss to Washington. Without Jimmy Butler, it was Kyle Lowry who took on the boss’s costume, in a reference match this season for the Florida veteran.

Finally, it seems that friend Kyle Lowry is not (yet) good for the EHPAD. So put away your walkers and admire the prowess of the 37-year-old leader. And this victory, Miami really needed it given the dismal start to the season that Erik Spoelstra’s troupe has offered us so far. If Jimmy Buckets’ teammates have a hard time stringing together more than two wins, no problem letting a four-game losing streak take hold. Yes, the last road trip hurt the Heat, both in results and in manner. After a comeback from the Raptors, Miami lost in overtime in Washington by not putting any shot on the whole overtime, before going to be violent in Cleveland to finish as they had started, with a nice choke, this time in the den of the Minnesota wolves.

An important victory therefore, and if the success of the Heat is above all collective, the leader of Magic City had everything found that night: 28 points for Kyle Lowry, including 24 in the first half, period at the end of which Miami already had a 19-point lead. And it must be said that the Heat had a few cold sweats, given the Wizards’ return run started in the middle of the third quarter.

But the facts are there: the GROAT was no longer felt tonight. Shoot out of balance once morest Avdija, pull-up from a distance on Kyle Kuzma’s truffle, string ten meters with 19 seconds on the clock, to believe that Kalorie allowed herself a short internship with the Curry brothers this summer.

But we should not forget the friends either! In particular Caleb Martin, who surprises by blackening the scoresheet: 24 points for the winger, who has only done better twice during his career. Well present in defense too, Martin was decisive in the last quarter, in particular on his last minute offensive rebound which allowed his team to take a six-point lead. We will also note the good return of Tyler Herro, who has been absent for almost three weeks and who has done well for his comeback (5/10 from the parking lot, despite this very poopy shot at the end of the match, resulting in the rebound in question). We reassure ourselves as best we can in Miami. And even if the Heat, who led by 21 points in the middle of the third quarter, once once more let the opponent back in the game, no more time to quibble, we now take the victories as they come.

On the Wizards side, on the other hand, if Kyle Kuzma tried to bring Washington back at the end of the game, with 14 of his 33 points scored in the fourth quarter (no pink sweater on the horizon, however, strange), the address was not at the rendezvous and the series of six victories in seven games therefore ends in Florida. As for Avdija, who comes close to a triple-double despite the defeat, it is assumed that the Israeli winger prefers to stay… in denial, sorry.

The Heat may not have won in style tonight but Kyle Lowry will tell you, “Three points are what matters.” It remains to be hoped that the efforts will not stop there for the Heat, which will receive… the Wizards on Friday. Yes once more.
