The Brazil national team achieved a convincing victory over its Serbian counterpart, 2-0, at the opening of the two teams’ matches in the 22nd edition of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and at the end of the first round competitions.
The match was held at Lusail Stadium, which will host the final on December 18.
Serbian players relied from the start on physical strength and tackles, along with roughness, in order to limit the Brazilians’ danger, which cost them an early yellow card, which Strahinja Pavlovic obtained after only 7 minutes.

The Serbian coach made offensive changes in order to catch up, so he used Dusan Vlahovic, the Juventus striker, who replaced his colleague Philip Mladenovic.
But the Brazil national team did not give way to that, so it added the second goal after a pass from Vinicius on the left side. And it was the turn of the crossbar to sympathize with Serbia, and to respond with a missile shot from Casemiro, so that the “samba dancers” would be satisfied with two goals, in their first match in the World Cup in Qatar.
Brazil topped Group G teams with 3 points, on goal difference from its Swiss counterpart, who earlier beat Cameroon with a single goal scored by Brill Embolo.
In the second round of the group stage, Brazil will face Switzerland, while the two injured, Cameroon and Serbia, will meet on Monday, November 28.
