Saint-Gilles: a young man arrested after threatening to attack the police station

The local police in the Brussels-Midi area (Anderlecht / Saint-Gilles / Forest) arrested, on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, a young man of 22 who had threatened to attack the police station of Saint-Gilles, she know Friday, confirming information from the newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.

“The person concerned called the emergency center several times from 03:00 on Wednesday morning”said police spokeswoman Sarah Frederickx. “The first few times he repeatedly insulted our staff, but then he also threatened to attack. We were able to track him down and arrest him.

The man would have been placed at the disposal of the prosecution, but we do not have, for the moment, more information on this subject. According to Het Nieuwsblad, the young man is known, like his twin brother, for drug offenses and acts of violence.
