Uruguay’s national soccer team has been preparing for the landmark second group game against Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal included.
After a 15-minute session open to the media on Friday, coach Diego Alonso will train behind closed doors on Saturday. “The second game is the key,” said Alonso, looking at the game on Monday (8 p.m. CET/ARD and MagentaTV).
The constellation in group H promises excitement. Portugal leads the tableau with three points ahead of the tied teams Uruguay and South Korea ahead of Ghana. “We have to keep working and improve a thing or two,” said Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde. There was a 0-0 draw against South Korea on Thursday.
