Al-Marsad Newspaper: Cardiology and arterial catheterization consultant Dr. Khaled Al-Nimr explained about the age group most prone to strokes.
Al-Nimr said, according to Al-Arabiya.net: “With regard to the ages at which it is recommended to take aspirin for those suffering from heart disease, there is no specific age for that, but currently, men over 50 years old and women over 60 years old, if they meet these conditions, we advise them to take aspirin.”
He added, “The first condition is that they have risk factors such as pressure, sugar, and cholesterol. Also, if they have chest pains, here and with certain measures, it is advised to take aspirin, but the most important thing is that they not have stomach ulcers.”
He continued: “Heart clots abound in the morning, as several studies have proven this, and the most important theory regarding it is high cortisol and high pressure, and blood viscosity increases in the early morning hours, so clots abound in the early morning.”
