Inateck emphasizes that all five ports have to share this bandwidth, so if data is transmitted over several ports at the same time, the data rate drops. Both a microSD and an SD card reader are on the right, while a flap on the bottom houses a cover that hides a slot for an M.2 SSD.

Prices and Availability

The Inateck DK2001 8-in-1 docking station for the Apple iMac is currently available via Kickstarter funded. The device costs 59 US dollars in the “Super Early Bird” offer, the price should rise to 99 US dollars in stores. Inateck also delivers to Germany and Austria – shipping is free for customers in Germany, Austrians have to pay a maximum of 35 US dollars extra, in addition to the usual import costs. Deliveries are expected to begin in January 2023.
