Spain played their passing game right from the start, tiki-taka at its best, Japan was mostly just a spectator. Striker Morata gave the favorites the lead in the 12th minute, he had been forgotten in the header and was therefore hardly pressed. Even following the lead, the Furia Roja didn’t give up.
